Despite the heading this is not about a Sugar Ray song. Instead this is about my need to be out of the Army soon.
A lot of people are looking at me funny that after 12 years of my life I am walking away and getting out. To be honest I only have 9 months left. I could not be any more excited. I am so ready for this to be over. 9 count um 9 drill left. I have to reflect back and think has the Army at all made me happy. No, but it has helped me get to a few places I am today. I am pretty financially secure because of the Army, I have my degree, I am working on my masters, and I am pretty much at a good place in my life. So for that I say thanks Army, but the truth is I’m just not that into you anymore.
I will still fight for the rights of the troops and my fellow soldiers, I still will dedicate myself to seeking those people will be taken care of. That is why I have a career in the VA hospital system. I still care about the people who serve. So I want to say thank you to everyone who has served with me and now I begin the count down to my good-bye.
